Yahya Aoyagi

Dr. Yahya Aoyagi is a naturalized Japanese citizen hailing from Damascus, Syria. Currently, he dedicates his expertise to the University of Hyogo, School of Economics and Management, where he serves as an assistant professor.
He holds a Ph.D. in International Public Policy, obtained from Osaka University, Osaka School of International Public Policy (OSIPP). His research interests include Middle Eastern, migration, and forced migration studies.
A distinguishing feature of Dr. Yahya's professional identity is his unwavering commitment to empowering ambitious international students seeking to pursue their higher education in the vibrant landscape of Japan. He contributed to shaping the Japanese response to the Syrian higher education crisis in 2016.
